Dr Nick Smith is an experienced General Practitioner with a strong interest in dermatology and skin health. He trained as a GP in London before relocating to Australia in 2025. Prior to his move, Dr Smith completed a fellowship in community dermatology alongside a Diploma in Dermatology at Queen Mary University of London, developing further experience in the assessment and management of a broad range of skin conditions.
Dr Smith has particular clinical interests in inflammatory and facial skin conditions, including acne, rosacea, eczema and psoriasis, as well as skin changes associated with broader medical conditions. Since moving to Australia, he has also developed a growing interest in skin cancer medicine, providing skin checks, skin cancer screening, mole checks and skin cancer surgery. He takes a holistic, evidence-based approach to dermatology, recognising that changes in the skin can sometimes provide important insights into a patient’s overall health.
Dr Smith finds supporting patients with their skin concerns particularly rewarding and values clear communication and shared decision-making. He aims to understand how a skin condition affects each patient and develop an appropriate management plan that supports both skin health and general wellbeing. Outside of medicine, Nick enjoys following Aston Villa, swimming with his young daughter and travelling with his family.
