Dr Hong Jie Soh is a General Practitioner with a special interest in skin cancer medicine, offering comprehensive skin checks, skin cancer screening, mole checks, and evidence-based management of skin cancer. He has worked across metropolitan and regional Australia, including the South Coast, providing care to patients from a wide range of backgrounds. Prior to entering general practice, Dr Soh worked as a Urology Surgical Registrar, developing advanced procedural skills that continue to support his work in skin cancer diagnosis and treatment. He also continues to work as a surgical assistant alongside General, Urological, and Orthopaedic Surgeons.
Committed to the early detection, diagnosis, and management of skin cancer, Dr Soh has completed the Certificate of Dermoscopy, Certificate of Skin Cancer Medicine, Certificate of Skin Cancer Surgery, and advanced dermoscopy training. He is currently undertaking advanced training in Skin Cancer Medicine and Surgery through the Skin Cancer College Australasia (SCCA), ensuring his practice remains aligned with the latest evidence-based guidelines and advances in dermatology and skin cancer care. He provides comprehensive skin assessments, dermoscopic examination of skin lesions, skin biopsies, skin cancer excisions, selected medical treatments for sun-damaged skin, and ongoing surveillance for patients at increased risk of skin cancer. Where appropriate, digital skin surveillance using DermEngine Total Body Photography may also be recommended.
Dr Soh is passionate about helping patients protect their skin through education, prevention, and early diagnosis. He believes in shared decision-making and takes the time to explain findings and treatment options, working collaboratively with dermatologists, plastic surgeons, and other specialists whenever referral is in the patient’s best interests.
