Dr Nigel Tay has been practising medicine since 2012 after graduating from the National University of Singapore. He initially gained extensive hospital experience across multiple medical and surgical specialties before moving into primary care. Over the past eight years, he has completed two postgraduate Fellowships in Urgent Care and General Practice in New Zealand, before relocating to Australia in September 2025.
Driven by Australia’s high rates of skin cancers and with advanced qualifications in Skin Cancer Medicine and Surgery Dr Tay is committed to managing and supporting his patients skin cancer concerns by offering full skin and concerning mole checks alongside a full scope of investigations and treatments for his patients. These may include punch, shave and excisional biopsies, curettage & cautery, simple to complex excisions and closures, including flaps and grafts. He is also able to offer non-surgical treatments like topical creams (efudix/aldara), cryotherapy as well as advice around common dermatological conditions.
Dr Tay is committed to providing high-quality, personalised care that is evidence-based and aligned with current treatment guidelines. He values creating a safe, non-judgemental environment for all patients.
Outside of work, Nigel is passionate about sport and enjoys swimming, tennis, water polo, and gym training. He is also a travel enthusiast and foodie who loves exploring new cuisines and spending quality time with friends and family during his travels.
