About Dr Danika Fietz
MBBS(Melb), MMed(Skin Cancer)(Qld), BNHons1(Syd), FRACGP, FSCI
Dr Danika began her career as an intensive care nurse and went on to graduate from medical school, receiving MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery) from University of Melbourne in 2004. She was later awarded Fellowship in General Practice from Royal Australian College of Practitioners (FRACGP) and having further undergone training; she received her Master of Medicine (Skin Cancer) from University of Queensland in 2012.
During the initial outbreak of COVID-19, Dr Danika worked long hours over an 18-month period, to support the Gold Coast Clinical Forensic Medical service as a Forensic Physician. This was the only time during her career when she wasn’t dedicating herself to skin cancer diagnosis and management.
Having published research in her field, as well as previously presenting at skin cancer conferences, Dr Danika knows the importance of keeping her knowledge up to date.
Dedicated to her specialty, she is always looking to undertake further skin cancer education and training certificates in skin surgery, histopathology and dermoscopy, as well as attending skin cancer conferences every year.
Dr Danika is looking forward to being able to continue skin cancer diagnosis and management for her respected patients as well as meet new patients who choose to attend Robina Medical & Dental Practice for their full skin check or spot check appointment.
